Pastor G. A. Echols, Jr. and Lady Pauline Echols
About the Pastor
Born right here in Detroit, Pastor G. A. Echols, Jr. has served in the Church of God in Christ since 1969. He has been a music director, youth director, Sunday school and YPWW teacher, deacon and jurisdictional youth ministry leader for 80 churches in Michigan. Pastor Echols served as assistant pastor to his father for 15 years and is now head pastor.
Pastor Echols graduated from the Michigan public school systems and went on to attend Henry Ford College, Highland Park College and the Control Data Institute in Michigan, where he received high honors in the field of computer science. He also attended the C.H. Mason Bible College for pastoral studies.
He met and fell in love with the love of his life, Pauline Gibson, from Grenada, Mississippi. They married in 1973 and have given birth to four children. They are still deeply in love.
Pastor Echols is the superintendent of Dunamis District, which serves as a support district in the Northeast Michigan 1st Historical Jurisdiction of Michigan of the Church of God in Christ. His love for the people has guided him to develop numerous ministries within the church where he pastors.
About Lady Pauline, our Pastor's Wife
Pauline Echols was born and raised in Grenada, MS. She was born again in The Church of God in Christ under the pastorate of the late Bishop. B. S. Lyle. Pauline attended Coahoma College in Mississippi and Highland Park College in Michigan. She received an associate’s degree in the medical field.
Pauline has accepted her call into the missionary field. She began her ministry that has touched many lives by way of counseling, prayer, teaching, encouraging and defending. She now shares in great responsibility of living and laboring in the role of a pastor’s wife. Pauline is an anointed and gifted singer and a hard worker in the church. She is a lover of the people and a wonderful homemaker. She has won the heart of her husband who affectionately calls her his Mississippi Rose.
